title "North Beach", said new section to follow immediately after
Section 219 thereof, as said Section 219 was amended by Chapter
480 of the Acts of 1933, regulating the maximum amount of debt
which may be incurred by the municipal corporation of North
Beach pursuant to the provisions of Section 5 of Article HE of
the Constitution of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 219A be and it is hereby added to Article 5 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Calvert
County", sub-title "North Beach", said new section to follow imme-
diately after Section 219 thereof, as said Section 219 was amended
by Chapter 480 of the Acts of 1933, and to read as follows:

219A. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 5 of Article 11E of
the Constitution of Maryland, the General Assembly hereby regulates
the maximum amount of debt which may be incurred by the municipal
corporation of North Beach by establishing said maximum amount of
debt in the amount of $500, 000. 00. All laws or parts of laws incon-
sistent with the provisions of this section are hereby repealed to the
extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the effectiveness of this
Act shall be subject to the requirement of Section 5 of Article HE
of the Constitution of Maryland that no such local law shall become
effective in regard to a municipal corporation until and unless it
shall have been approved at a regular or special municipal election
by a majority of the voters of that municipal corporation voting on
the question.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby de-
clared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health and safety and having been passed
by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

(Senate Bill 127)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 122 of
Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Frederick County", sub-title "Fire Companies",
as said section was amended by Chapter 288 of the Acts of 1953,
revising the schedule of payments to be made by the County Com-
missioners of Frederick County to the Rocky Ridge Volunteer Fire
Company therein, and adding two new companies to the list of
those receiving payments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 122 of Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
