title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Camp Meetings and
Amusement Places", and to enact in lieu thereof Section 37, to
follow immediately after Section 36 thereof, to be under the new
sub-title "Beaches, Parks and Recreation Areas", providing for
the licensing of certain bathing beaches, amusement parks and
recreation areas in Queen Anne's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 37 through 42 inclusive, of Article 18 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's
County", sub-title "Camp Meetings and Amusement Places", be and
they are hereby repealed; and that Section 37 be and it is hereby
enacted, in lieu thereof, to follow immediately after Section 36,* to be
under the new sub-title "Beaches, Parks and Recreation Areas", and
to read as follows:

37. On and after June 1, 1955, every person, firm or corporation
operating or conducting any bathing beach, amusement park or
recreation area in Queen Anne's County, outside the limits of any
incorporated municipality, shall before operating or conducting such
place or places first apply to the County Commissioners for a license
or permit to operate or conduct such place or places in Queen Anne's
County. The license or permit shall be issued by the County Com-
missioners on such terms and conditions, and for such fees, as shall
be determined by the said Commissioners, taking into consideration
the effect of the issuance of any license or permit on the public health,
welfare or morals of the people of Queen Anne's County. The County
Commissioners are hereby authorized and empowered to make such
rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions
of this section and to effectively regulate such beaches, parks or
areas in Queen Anne's County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 221
(Senate Bill 467)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 74 of
Article 17 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Clerks of Courts", sub-title "Clerks of Circuit Courts",
relating to recordation of plats among the Land Records of Carroll
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 74 of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Clerks of Courts", sub-title "Clerks of Circuit
Courts", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
