gany and Wicomico [County] Counties, Five Dollars per day far
each and every day they shall attend the several courts of this State
as jurors and Fifteen Cents for each mile over five miles for going
to and returning from the court, once in each term, to be paid by
the Counties, respectively, in which courts are held. Jurors in Bal-
timore City shall receive such compensation as shall be provided in
the Ordinance of Estimates of said City each year.
(b) It shall be the duty of the County Commissioners of the
several Counties and of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
to levy each year a sufficient sum to pay for the compensation of
jurors, as provided by this section.
(c) In Allegany County, beginning with the term of Court in
April, 1951, jurors shall receive Six Dollars per day for each and
every day they shall attend a court of this State as jurors; jurors
residing outside the corporate limits of the City of Cumberland
shall be paid mileage at the rate of Five Cents per mile for each
mile or fraction thereof actually traveled from day to day while
en route from their respective homes to the City of Cumberland,
over the nearest practicable route.
(d) In Wicomico County, beginning with the term of court in
September, 1955, jurors shall receive Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents
($7.50) per day for each and every day they shall attend a court of
this State as jurors.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

(Senate Bill 1
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 6 and 19
of Article 66A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Moving Pictures/' revising the powers of the Maryland State
Board of Censors to approve and license motion picture films, re-
stating the reasons for which the board is empowered to disapprove
such films and defining the remaining powers, and providing for
a right of appeal from the Baltimore City Court to the Court of
Appeals of Maryland as to the elimination or disapproval of a film
or view which has been ordered by the board.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 6 and 19 of Article 66A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Moving Pictures", be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
6. (a) The Board shall examine or supervise the examination of
all films or views to be exhibited or used in the State of Maryland
