CHAPTER 171
(House Bill 555)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 24 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", said new section to be known
as Section 68A and to follow immediately after Section 68 thereof,
authorizing the County Commissioners of Worcester County to
carry out, maintain and operate certain works of improvement.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 24 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title 'Worcester
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said new section to be
known as Section 68A and to follow immediately after Section 68
thereof, and to read as follows:
68A. The Board of County Commissioners of Worcester County
is hereby authorized and empowered to carry out, maintain and
operate the following works of improvement:
1. Soil conservation;
2. Water conservation;
3. Flood prevention (including structural and land treatment
measures); and
4. Agricultural phases of conservation, development, utilization
and disposal of water including group drainage projects.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 172
(House Bill 557)
AN ACT to add a new Section 170A to the Baltimore County Code
(1948 Edition), being Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Baltimore County", sub-title "Title 13. Juries",
sub-heading "Method of Selection", to follow immediately after
Section 170 thereof, relating to the drawing of new or additional
jury panels in Baltimore County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 170A be and it is hereby added to the Baltimore
