shall be paid by the County Commissioners of Kent County. The
Inspector for Kent County shall be known as the "Liquor Inspector
for Kent County."

190.

(bb). (Kent County.) In Kent County, for violations of the laws
as to Class B,C or D (On Sale), Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses, the
following penalties shall apply:

1.   for first offensesSuspend license and close place of business
for fifteen days, plus $100.00 fine.

2.   for second offenseSuspend license and close place of business
for thirty days, plus $300.00 fine.

S. for third offenseSuspend license and close place of business
for ninety days, plus $500.00 fine.

Provided, that appeal shall not stay the order of the Board suspend-
ing license and closing place of business; and

Provided, that Board shall hear and determine cases within ten
days of report of violation by Inspector or other law enforcement
officer; and

Provided, that if the third violation is the same as either one of the
previous two, license is to be revoked, the licensee may never again
have a license, and the premises shall not be eligible for a license until
a period of one year from date of revocation; a fourth violation shall
result in same penalties as the third violation.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this Act shall
be construed or applied to affect or change the law as to alcoholic
beverages licenses in Kent County or any violation thereof or any
prosecution thereunder, which violation or prosecution thereof oc-
curred prior to the effective date of this Act.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

and (e) of Section 3 of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition), title "County Commissioners," sub-title "Gen-
eral Provisions," extending to the County Commissioners of Calvert
County the power to fix and prescribe the salary, compensation and
