issued; the annual fee for such a license shall be Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00).
(k). (Applicability.) Such licenses shall only be issued in the
City of Baltimore, in Allegany, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Cecil,
Frederick, Kent, Montgomery, Prince George's, Talbot and Wash-
ington Counties and in the towns of North Beach and Chesapeake
Beach in Calvert County.
21. (Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses, Class D (On Sale)—
Taverns, Etc.) (a) (General Provisions.) A Class D beer, wine
and liquor license shall be issued by the Clerk of the Circuit Court
of the County in which the place of business is located, or by the
Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas in Baltimore City, if the place
of business is located in said City. It shall authorize the holder
thereof to keep for sale and sell all alcoholic beverages at retail
at the place therein described, for consumption on the premises
or elsewhere, except in Kent County where consumption shall be on
the premises only. No such license shall be issued for any drug
store. The annual fee for such a license shall be Five Hundred
Dollars ($500.00), except as hereinafter provided, and shall be pay-
able to the said Clerk before any license is issued, for distribution as
hereinafter provided.
(ff). (Kent County.) In Kent County the annual fee for such a
license shall be Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00). Provided that
in Kent County no person under the age of tiventy-one years shall
be permitted in the tavern or on the premises where liquor is sold
under a Class D license.
(h) (Applicability.) Such licenses shall be issued only in Balti-
more City, Allegany, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Charles, Howard,
Kent, St. Mary's and Washington Counties and in the towns of
North Beach and Chesapeake Beach in Calvert County.
97. (Kent County.) In Kent County, notwithstanding any other
provision of this sub-title, it shall be unlawful for any person to
sell or for any retail dealer to give alcoholic beverages between
the hours of midnight on Saturday and 6 A. M. on Monday. Any
person selling or any retail dealer giving alcoholic beverages in Kent
County between the hours of midnight on Saturday and 6 A. M. on
Monday shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof
shall be fined not exceeding Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for the first
offense, and for each succeeding offense shall be fined not exceed-
ing One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) or imprisoned in the County
Jail for not more than thirty (30) days or be both fined and im-
prisoned, in the discretion of the court. Provided, however, that
Classes B, C and D (On Sale) Beer, Wine and Liquor Licensees shall
not sell alcoholic beverages in Kent County between the hours of
midnight on Saturday and 8 A. M. on Monday and between the hours
of midnight and 8 A. M. on the following day on every weekday.

(bb). In Kent County, as to Classes B and D (On Sale) Beer,
Wine and Liquor Licenses, this section shall be applicable between
the hours of midnight on Saturday and 8 A. M. on Monday and
