Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1954 Supplement), title "Elec-
tions," sub-title "Election Officials," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

3.

(c). Salary of Clerk of Board and Attorney for Board in Wicomico
County.—In Wicomico County the clerk of the board of supervisors
of elections provided for in this article shall receive an annual salary
of [$600] $900, and the said supervisors of elections shall have the
power to employ an attorney, who shall be a member of the bar of
Wicomico County and who shall also be the attorney for the judges
of elections, and such attorney shall receive an annual salary of $600;
the salaries of said clerk and said attorney to be paid in equal quar-
terly installments by the county commissioners of Wicomico County;
provided, however, that in the event of special elections or special
services rendered the said county commissioners shall, at the request
and recommendation of the supervisors of elections, allow such addi-
tional compensation as they may deem commensurate with such
special services rendered.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1955.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section (a) of
Sections 19 and 21, Sub-sections (1), (k) and (h) of Sections 19, 20
and 21, respectively, Section 97, Sub-section (c) of Section 192 152
and Section 197 179 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition and 1954 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Bever-
ages", sub-titles "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses", "flours and
Day for Sale", "County Dispensaries", and "Enforcement", and to
add new sub-sections (ee), (ff) and (ff) to Sections 19, 20 and 21,
respectively, new Sub-section (bb) to Section 83, new Sub-section
(ee) to Section 149 and new Sub-section (bb) to Section 190 of said
Article, sub-titles "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses", "Hours and
Days for Sale", "Board of License Commissioners", and "Penal-
ties", said new sub-sections to follow immediately after Sub-sec-
tions (e), (f) and (f) of Sections 19, 20 and 21, respectively, Sub-
section (b) of Section 83, Sub-section (e) of Section 149, Sub-
section (b) of Section 190, all respectively of said Article, revising
generally the alcoholic beverages laws in Kent County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
