(1951 Edition), title "Deaf, Dumb and Blind", sub-title "Work-
shop and School for Blind", authorizing the maintenance of work-
shops for the blind located in parts of the State other than Balti-
more City AND VESTING THE GENERAL SUPERVISION
AND CONTROL OF ALL SUCH WORKSHOPS IN THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE MARYLAND WORKSHOP
FOR THE BLIND.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 AND SECTION 7 of Article 30 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Deaf, Dumb and Blind",
sub-title "Workshop and School for Blind", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
6. There shall be maintained in Baltimore City, Maryland, a work-
shop for the blind; and there may be workshops located in other
parts of the State.
7. GENERAL SUPERVISION AND CONTROL OF ALL SUCH
WORKSHOPS SHALL BE VESTED IN A BOARD OF FIVE
TRUSTEES, THREE OF WHOM SHALL BE APPOINTED BY
THE GOVERNOR, BY AND WITH THE ADVICE OF THE
SENATE, AND TWO SHALL BE ELECTED BY THE BOARD
OF DIRECTORS OF THE MARYLAND SCHOOL FOR THE
BLIND; AND THE TERM OF THE MEMBERS OF SAID BOARD
SHALL BE FOR A PERIOD OF TWO YEARS FROM THE DATE
OF THEIR APPOINTMENT, OR UNTIL THEIR SUCCESSORS
SHALL HAVE BEEN APPOINTED AND QUALIFIED, AND
WHENEVER A VACANCY SHALL OCCUR ON SAID BOARD
IT SHALL BE FILLED FOR THE UNEXPIRED TERM BY
VOTE OF THE SAID MEMBERS OF THE BOARD REMAINING.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

(Senate Bill 254)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 417 of
Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-title "Taneytown", as said
section was amended by Chapter 550 of the Acts of 1943, modify-
ing the tax limit of the town of Taneytown pursuant to the pro-
visions of Section 5 of Article HE of the Constitution of Mary-
land.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 417 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
