for Baltimore County shall hear the case de novo and determine the
same according to law. The procedure in the Circuit Court for Balti-
more County shall be in accordance with the Acts of the General
Assembly concerning appeals from Judges of the People's and Trial
Magistrate's Courts and the rules of the Circuit Court for Baltimore
County and the Court of Appeals of Maryland.
26. The several Justices of the Peace and Trial Magistrates shall
retain jurisdiction over all civil cases filed before then prior to May
2 JUNE 6, 1955.
27. The County Commissioners are hereby directed to levy on the
assessable property in Baltimore County such amount as may be
necessary to pay the salaries and expenses of operation of said
People's Court.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of laws
inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be and they are hereby
repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act PP MailCheck SHALL TAKE EFFECT
JUNE 1, 1955.

AN ACT to add a new subsection to Section 234 of Article 81 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Revenue and
Taxes", sub-title "State Tax Commission", said new sub-section
to be known as subsection (h) and to follow immediately after
subsection (g) thereof, relating to the salaries of supervisor of
assessments and assistant supervisor of assessments in Prince
George's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new subsection be and it is hereby added to Section 234 of
Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title
"Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "State Tax Commission", said new
sub-section to be known as subsection (h) and to follow immediately
after subsection (g) thereof, and to read as follows:
