Prince George's County, beginning on the first day of July, 1955, any
any deputy register of wills who has been employed in the Register
of Wills office as an assistant clerk and/or deputy for a total of twenty
(20) FIVE (25) years shall receive a total annual salary of $5,000.00
$4,750.00 AND ANY SUCH DEPUTY REGISTER OF WILLS WHO
HAS BEEN EMPLOYED IN THE REGISTER OF WILLS OFFICE
AS AN ASSISTANT CLERK AND/OR DEPUTY FOR A TOTAL
OF TWENTY (20) YEARS SHALL RECEIVE A TOTAL ANNUAL
SALARY OF $4,500.00.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1955.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments. Sections 2-1
and 2-J of the Maryland-Washington Regional District Act as
enacted by Chapter 992 of the Acts of 1943, so as to authorize the
governing bodies of Montgomery and Prip.ce George's Counties to
adopt and amend regulations for the sub-division of land within
the Maryland-Washington Regional District in said Counties.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2-1 of the Maryland-Washington Regional District Act
as enacted by Chapter 992 of the Acts of 1943, and amended by Chap-
ter 582 of the Acts of 1949, be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:
2-1. In exercising the powers granted to it by Section 2-H of this
Act, the Commission OR THE GOVERNING BODY OF EITHER
COUNTY [shall adopt and may from time to time amend regula-
tions] may prepare regulations and amendments thereto governing
the sub-division of land within the District -for the respective portions
of the District within Montgomery or Prince George's County

SUCH OTHER DATE AS THE GOVERNING BODY MAY DESIG-
NATE, PROVIDED THAT SUCH ADOPTION shall not affect in any
manner the administration of the regulations by the Commission or its
functions under Section 2-H hereof. Such regulations may provide for
the harmonious development of the District; for the coordination of
roads within the sub-division with other existing, planned or platted
roads or with other features of the District or with the Commission's
