THE DUTY OF THE STATE INSUR-
ANCE DEPARTMENT TO INVESTIGATE CERTAIN CASES
OF ALLEGED FRAUD AND MISREPRESENTATION.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 9A be and it is hereby added to Article 48A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Insurance", sub-
title "Insurance Department", said new section to follow immedi-
ately after Section 9 of said Article, and to read as follows:

DURING THE COURSE OF SUCH
WORK, THE INSURANCE DEPARTMENT SHALL PROVIDE
FOR SUCH INVESTIGATIONS TO BE MADE AS NECESSARY
IN ALL PARTS OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1955.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 20 (a) of
Article 73B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title
"Pensions," sub-title "Employees of Municipal Corporations," re-
lating to the prior service credit to be allowed to the officers and
employees of certain municipal corporations by reason of time
spent in military service.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 20 (a) of Article 73B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition), title "Pensions", sub-title "Employees of Muni-
cipal Corporations", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, and to read as follows:
