1102                             LAWS OF MARYLAND                        [CH. 662

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted:

(Definitions.) As used in this Act, the following words and terms
or pronouns used in their place shall have the following meaning:

(a)  The word "Authority" shall mean The New Marsh Wholesale
Produce Market Authority, created by Section 2 of this Act.

(b)  The word "State" shall mean the State of Maryland.

(c)  The word "Governor" shall mean the Governor of the State of
Maryland, or his duly authorized Representative.

(d)  The word "City" shall mean the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore, a corporation of the State of Maryland.

(e)  The word "Council" shall mean the City Council, the legislative
department of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore.

(f)  The term "cost of the market" shall mean and include the pur-
chase price, the cost of all land, property rights, easements, and
franchises deemed necessary for the construction and establishment
of any wholesale produce market, the cost of all labor, materials,
machinery and equipment
INCLUDING EXPENSES OF RELO-
CATING PUBLIC UTILITY FACILITIES REFERRED TO IN
SECTION 4 (5), ETC., financing charges, interest prior to and
during construction and for one year after completion of construction
cost of engineering, architectural and legal services, plans, specifica-
tions, surveys, estimates of costs and of revenues, other expenses
necessary or incident to determining the feasibility or practicability
of such construction, administrative expense and such other expenses
as may be necessary or incident to the financing herein authorized
and the construction and establishment of a wholesale product mar-
ket; and the placing of the market in operation. Any expense hereto-
fore or hereafter incurred by the

MAYOR AND
CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE out of the proceeds of the revenue
bonds issued under the provisions and authority of this Act.

(g)  The word "produce" shall mean and shall be taken to mean
agricultural and edible food products, including, but not limited to,
"seafood," "eggs," "butter," "cheese," "poultry," "fruits," "vege-
tables", "meats," and "meat produces," and floricultural and horti-
cultural products.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted:

(Powers of Authority.) The Authority shall have power:

(1)   To have a seal and alter the same at pleasure;

(2)  To acquire, hold, and dispose of real and personal property
for its corporate purposes;

(3)  To establish, construct, erect, acquire, own, repair, remodel,
add to, extend, improve, equip, operate and maintain a market

RELOCATE AND/OR REPLACE CENTRE OR MARSH MARKET
IN BALTIMORE CITY and to pay the cost of the market, including
