erning body of such municipality before changes in such zoning
classifications shall be effective.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That before the District Council of the Maryland—Washington
Regional District in Montgomery and Prince George's County may
amend the zoning ordinance of either county by changing the zoning
classification of property within any incorporated municipality, the
application for such change shall be referred to the governing body of
such incorporated city or town for its recommendation.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That except as otherwise pro-
vided herein, all Acts or parts of Acts or laws and parts of laws
inconsistent herewith or contrary hereto are hereby repealed to
extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall be effective
June 1, 1955.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 260 (g)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Fish and Fisheries", sub-
heading "Tidal Waters", eliminating a portion of the Chesapeake
Bay from certain provisions of said section.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 260 (g) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Fish and
Fisheries", sub-heading "Tidal Waters", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
260.
(g) It shall be the duty of each licensee to maintain his stakes
in good condition, and promptly to remove and renew any stakes
that may be unsound, broken or liable to go adrift. [It] Except for
that portion of the Chesapeake Bay lying south of the Bay Bridge
and north from a line drawn due easterly from Cove Point, NO
POINT TO HOOPERS ISLAND LIGHT HOUSE, it shall be unlaw-
ful to permit or allow to remain in the water any pound or net stake
for a period greater than thirty days following the removal of the
net or twine from each stake, or the discontinuance of fishing of said
nets.
