such deputy medical examiner, when it becomes necessary, shall
have the power to deputize any other physician in the county to
act as deputy medical examiner in his place and stead. In addition
to the foregoing services, whenever any such deputy medical ex-
aminer shall be called as a witness in any proceedings before the
Grand Jury or in any criminal case, he shall receive as compensation
for his services as such a fee which shall be determined by the court
before which such proceedings are conducted.
SEC.2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1958.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 77 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Public Education", sub-title
"Source and Distribution of Income", said new Section to be known
as Section 225A, and to follow immediately after Section 225
thereof; said new section providing that the

CEIVED UNDER SUCH LAWS SHALL BE DEDUCTED FROM
FUNDS DUE SAID COUNTIES AND THE CITY OF BALTI-
MORE UNDER APPLICABLE PROVISIONS OF CERTAIN
OTHER STATE LAWS AND DECLARING THAT ANY OBLI-
GATIONS IN CONNECTION WITH RECEIVING SUCH FUNDS
ARE SELF LIQUIDATING OBLIGATIONS INCURRED FOR
SELF LIQUIDATING PROJECTS.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 225A be and the same is hereby added to Article
77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Public
Education", sub-title "Source and Distribution of Income", to follow
immediately after Section 225, and to read as follows:
225A. The bonded indebtedness of any county or the City of
Baltimore shall not be considered to be increased by reason of the
