and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

356. Every registered Optometrist who desires to continue the
practice of Optometry in this State shall annually on such date as
the Board of Optometry may determine pay to the secretary of said
Board a registration fee, to be fixed by them, but which shall not
exceed the sum of [Five] Ten Dollars per annum, for which he shall
receive a renewal receipt. Should any Optometrist fail to make
application for a renewal of registration he shall be notified that his
certificate of registration will be revoked within thirty days after
such notification, and if he fails to pay the annual fee before the
expiration of the time mentioned in said notice said Board may at
once proceed to revoke said certificate of registration.

359. It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly sell to or to
prescribe glasses for persons with diseased eyes except it be with
their knowledge and consent or on an order of or advice from a
registered physician, [or to sell to or prescribe concave glasses for
a person under fifteen years of age except on an order of or advice
from a registered physician.] It shall not be construed as a violation
of this section for a person to sell a duplicate or replace glasses for
such cases cited in this section.

Sec 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

Vetoed by the Governor, April 17, 1957.
Passed over the Governor's Veto, February 5, 1958.
Effective date, June 1, 1958.

CHAPTER 3
(House Bill 451)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 6 (a) of
Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement),
title "Public Education", sub-title "Chapter 2. Formation of
Boards", and to add a new section to said Article and sub-title, said
new section to be known as Section 12F and to follow immediately
after Section 12E thereof, providing for the appointment of a
seven-man school board of education for Talbot County and creat-
ing special provisions generally relating thereto.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 (a) of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1956 Supplement), title "Public Education", sub-title "Chapter 2.
Formation of Boards", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments; and a new section be and it is hereby added to
said Article and sub-title, said new section to be known as Section
12F and to follow immediately after Section 12E thereof, and all to
read as follows:
