said tract of land called Mattagin, it being the north
sixty-five degrees west, seventy-eight perches line of
the said tract of land, and running, thence north sixty
perches; then south eighty seven degrees east, eighty
perches; then south fifty two degrees east, sixty-three
perches; then north seventy-six degrees east, one hun-
dred and six perches; then south sixty-three degrees
east sixteen perches; then south thirteen degrees east,
eighty-seven perches; then south sixty-seven degrees
west, eighty-six perches; then south thirty five de-
grees west, eighty, perches; and from thence with a
straight line to the first place of beginning.

An act to change the name of Creswell's Ferry, in
Cecil county.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, It is represented to this General As-
sembly, that inconveniences arise from the different
names that have been applied to Creswell's ferry, on
the Susquehanna, in Cecil county,

ed to Port De-
posit.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the place now called Creswell's ferry,

in Cecil county, be and is hereby declared to be called

and known in future as Port Deposit.

CHAPTER 45.

Collection ex-
tended to Jan.
1, 1814,

An act authorising Matthias Dashiell, late sheriff of
Somerset county to complete his collections.
SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That Matthias Dashiell be, and
he is hereby authorised and empowered to collect un-
til the first day of January, eighteen hundred and
fourteen, all balances due him as sheriff and collector
of Somerset county, in the same manner as he could
or might have done within the time limited by law,
any law to the contrary notwithstanding.

His duty be-
fore he pro-
ceeds to exe-
cute property
for public dues
or fees.

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall be the
duty of the said Matthias Dashiell, before he proceeds
to execute the property of any person or persons for
public does or fees, in virtue of this act, to deliver to
such person or persons chargeable with the same, at
least thirty days previous to levying such execution,
an account written in. words at full length, of the pub-
lic does and fees demanded of him, her or them, with
an affidavit annexed, that he hath not received any
