the plot and certificate as above directed; and the
damages so ascertained shall be levied and assessed
as other county charges are, and shall be paid over
to the persons respectively who may be endamaged

Proviso.

thereby; Provided nevertheless. That no money
shall be levied or assessed tor the purpose of paying
the damages aforesaid, until the said road is opened
and cleared agreeably to the directions of this act.

4. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said
commissioners shall he entitled to receive as a com-
pensation for their services, a sum not exceeding
two dollars per day, to be ascertained by the levy
court, which is hereby directed to be levied, collect-
ed and paid as other county, charges.

An act for the benefit of Thomas Edmondson, of
Dorchester county.

Proceedings
of certain
commission-
ers in Dor-
chester county
ratified.

BE IT EN ACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the proceedings of the commission-
ers appointed by the judges of Dorchester court, at
March term eighteen hundred and seven, to make
division of the lands and tenements of a certain
John Noble, late of the said county, deceased, according
to the act of descents passed at November session
seventeen hundred and eighty six, and the several
supplementary acts thereto, be, and the same are
hereby ratified continued and made valid; and the
title of Thomas Edmondson of the said county to
the lands and tenements, of the, said John Noble as
aforesaid, deceased, as derived from the proceedings
or the said commissioners, and the proceedings of
Dorchester county court thereon, be, and the same
is hereby confirmed and made valid, any law usage
or custom. to the contrary notwithstanding.

An act for the relief of Anne Onions, of Prince

A sum to be
levied for her
support.

George's, county.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the justices of the levy court, of
Prince George's county be, and they are hereby
empowered, if in their discretion they shall deem
the same right and proper, at their meeting for the
purpose of levying their county levy, to assess and
levy annually, so long as the same shall be neces
sary, a sum of money not exceeding thirty dollars, on
the assessable property of said county, for the sup-
