CHAPTER 33.

A supplement to an act entitled, "An act to em-
power Rebecca Candler and John Candler, admi-
nistrators of William Candler, late sheriff and
collector of Montgomery county, to collect fees
and county taxes put into his hands for collection
during his life time.

1812.

Passed Dec.
4, 1812.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Rebecca Candler and John Cand-
ler, or any person employed by them, be and they
are hereby authorised and empowered, at any time
previous to the first day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and fourteen, to proceed and collect
by execution, (if necessary, } the county tax and offi-
cers' fees, for the year one thousand eight hundred
and ten, and the officers' fees for the year one thou-
sand eight hundred and eleven, (which were put into
the hands of the said William Candler, late sheriff
and collector of the county aforesaid, in the said years,
for collection, ) in the same manner as the said Wil-
liam Candler could have done, and to be entitled to
receive the same fees in every case where they may
be compelled to distrain for any of the said officers'
fees and county tax, as the said William Candler
would have been entitled to receive for similar servi-
ces as collector and sheriff aforesaid.

An act for extending Green-street in the city of
Baltimore.

Passed Dec.
4, 1812.

WHEREAS, It is represented to this General
Assembly, by a number of the inhabitants of the
city of Baltimore, that their convenience would be
very materially promoted by extending Green street
in said city, and the said petition appearing reasonable
and just; Therefore,

Preamble.

SEC. 1. BE IT ENACTED by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the city commissioners
be, and they are hereby empowered to extend Green-
street in the said city, forty feet in breadth from Pitt
street to Great York street, so as to open a commu-
nication between said Green-street and Exeter-street,
commencing nearly opposite the south end of Green-
street, and ending nearly opposite the north end of
Exeter-street; and the said street when so opened
and extended, and the valuation and assessment
herein after directed to be made shall have taken
