county, or order, annually in quarterly payments, a sum of money
equal to the half pay of a serjeant, as a remuneration for his services
during the revolutionary war.

RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is
hereby directed, to pay unto Neale Jones, late a private in the revolu-
tionary war, or to his order annually, in quarterly payments, a sum of
money equal to the half pay of a private, as a further remuneration to
him for those services by which his country has been so essentially be

hereby required, to pay to James Semmes, of Charles county, late a se-
cond lieutenant in the revolutionary war, or to his order annually in
quarterly payments, during his life, a sum of money equal to the half
pay of a second lieutenant.

RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is
hereby directed and required, to pay annually to William Hillman, or
order, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a soldier, as a remune-
ration to the said William Hillman for services rendered his country in
the revolutionary war, and as a relief from the indigence and misery
which attend his old age.

hereby directed, to pay to Thomas Simpson, late a corporal in the revo-
lutionary war, or to his order, a sum of money annually in quarterly
payments, equal to the half pay of a corporal, as a further remunera-
tion for those services rendered his country in her struggle for liberty
and independence.

RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the Western Shore pay unto John
Kean, Junior, late sheriff of Harford County, the sum of forty five
dollars, for forwarding the votes and proceedings of the general as-
sembly, and packages on public service, in the years 1810, 1811, and
1812, the same not being allowed on the journal of accounts.
No. 64
RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the Western Shore pay to Alex-
ander Johnson, sheriff of Charles County, or his order, out of any
unappropriated money in the Treasury, the sum of twenty five
dollars, for transmitting the laws, votes and proceedings and other pub-
lic documents, as by law he is directed.

RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the Western Shore pay out of any
unappropriated money in the treasurer, to Isaac Dickson, or his order,
a sum of eight dollars, to John T. H. Worthington or his order,
eight dollars, to John Schutes or his order, eight dollars, for their at-
tendance as witnesses before the committee of grievances and courts of
justice.
