been used. as such by the inspector thereof: And

whereas, It hath been further represented, that doubts
are entertained by the levy court of Baltimore county,
whether under the provisions of the. above act of
eighteen hundred and three, the said additional build-
ings can be considered as part of the said ware house;
and an act having passed the General Assembly at
November session eighteen hundred and eleven,
chapter fifty-two, authorising the levy court of Bal-
timore county to consider and take in the additional
buildings of James Calhoun adjoining his inspection
ware-house, if approved by the levy court, as a part
of his said ware-house; and it appearing reasonable
that both these inspection ware houses should be put
on the same footing as well as to wharves as build-
ings: Therefore,

ware-house.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That if the levy court of Baltimore
county, or the majority of them, shall approve of the
building or buildings adjoining or adjacent to Dugan
and O'Donnell's ware-house, built by the said Cum-
berland Dugan, on Dugan's wharf, as convenient and
safe for the inspection and storage of tobacco, in such
case the said building or buildings shall thereafter be
taken and considered as a part of the said ware-house,
subject to the same inspection. and entitled 'to the
same storage as the same ware-house now is, so that
Calhoun's ware house and Dugan and O'Donnell's
ware-house, in the city of Baltimore, be both placed
on the same footing.

CHAPTER 113.

An act to authorise the Levy Court of Washington
county to. levy a sum of money for the purpose
therein mentioned,

Levy court
may settle and
adjust certain
claims.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the levy court of Washington county
are hereby directed to settle and adjust the claim of
Richard Combs, for repairing the streets of Williams-
port; and upon, the account being so adjusted any
balance that -may appear to be due to the said Richard
Combs, the levy court of said county are hereby
empowered to assess and levy the amount of said
claim on the assessable property of said county, and
when so levied and collected, the sheriff of said
county shall pay the amount to the said Richard
Combs or his order.
