BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the judges or any judge of Talbot
county court be, and they or any one of them are
hereby authorised and directed to extend to Robert
Bruff the benefit of the act of Assembly passed at
November session eighteen hundred and five, enti-
tled, "An act for the relief of sundry insolvent
debtors and the several supplements thereto, "with-
out compelling him to produce any evidence of his
having resided within the State of Maryland for the
two years last previous to his application for the bene-
fit thereof, in the same manner as if he had actually
resided within this State agreeably to the provisions
of the said act, and the several supplements thereto.

Benefit of the
insolvent laws

granted.

An act to provide for taking special bail in actions
of trespass quare clausum fregit.

Passed Dec.
19, 1812.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That in all actions of trespass quare
clausum fregit, commenced after the first day of Feb-
ruary next, in any court of this Slate, it shall and
may be lawful for the court in which such action
shall be commenced, upon the affidavit of the plain-
tiff or other evidence, that the defendant or defen-
dants are not citizens of this State, or do not reside
therein, to award special bail against such defendant
or defendants in such action, and for default of such
bail, to commit such defendant or defendants to the
custody of the sheriff until he, she or they shall put
in bail as in other cases.

city of Annapolis.

21, 1812.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Levy Court of Anne Arundel
county be, and they are hereby directed and empow-
ered at their Levy Court annually, to assess and levy
on the assessable property of said county, a sum of
money not exceeding thirty dollars, for the support
and maintenance of the said Rachel Robers, and that
the same be collected annually, by the collector. or
collectors of Anne-Arundel county, and paid to the
said Rachel Roberts or to her order.
