CHAPTER 49.

AN ACT to authorise the Register of Wills for Harford
county, to have the record books in his office re-
paired.

Passed
Feb. 24, 1854.

WHEREAS, several of the important record books in
the office of the Register of Wills for Harford coun-
ty are in a dilapidated condition and require repair ;
Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Charlton W. Billingslea, Register
of Wills for said county, be, and he is hereby autho-
rised to remove said books to the city of Baltimore,
and have them repaired.

Authority to
remove books.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
of said county be, and they are hereby authorised and
required to levy upon the assessable property of said
county, a sufficient sum to pay the cost and expenses
incurred for the repair of said books.

CHAPTER 50.

Authority to

levy.

AN ACT to increase the per diem of the crier of the
Circuit Court for Washington county.

Passed
Feb. 24, 1854.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That from and after the passage of this
act the crier of the circuit court for Washington coun-
ty, shall be entitled and is hereby authorised to receive
two dollars per day for every day he may be employed
as crier of the said court.

Per diem.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all laws inconsis-
tent with this act, be, and they are hereby repealed.
