CHAPTER 298.

AN ACT, to authorise the devise and bequest of Mar-
garet H. Ward, to the trustees of the Methodist Epis-
copal Church at Newtown, in Worcester county.

Passed

Mar. 10, 1854.

WHEREAS, Margaret H. Ward, late of Somerset coun-
ty, deceased, devised to the Trustees of the Methodist
Episcopal Church at Newtown in Worcester county
the sum of fifty dollars for the use and benefit of said
church.

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the leave of the legislature is
hereby given to carry into effect the bequest or devise
in the will of Margaret H. Ward, late of Somerset
county, deceased, in favor of the Trustees of the Me-
thodist Episcopal Church at Newtown, Worcester coun-
ty, for the use therein expressed.

Leave given.

SEC 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 299.

In force.

AN ACT for the relief of the sureties on the bond of
Alexander Milburn, collector of the State taxes, for
St. Mary's county, for the year eighteen hundred and
forty-six, for a balance due on a judgment obtained
upon said bond.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That William Floyd, John H. Milburn
and James C. Milburn, sureties on the bond of Alexan-
der Milburn, collector of the State taxes for St. Mary's
