SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of con-
veying and assuring to the owner or owners of the said ad-
joining lot so much of the said public lot as shall be given
to him, her or them in the exchange, it shall and may be
lawful for the county commissioners of Cecil county and
the president and commissioners of the town of Elkton,
and they are hereby authorised and empowered to ex-
ecute and deliver to the said owner or owners, his, her
or their heirs and assigns, a deed or conveyance there-
of, which said deed shall be signed by the said county
commissioners, or a majority of them, and attested by
their corporate seal, and shall also be signed and settled
by the president and a majority of the commissioner!
of the said town of Elkton, and shall be acknowledged
and recorded, as other deeds are now inquired to be ;
and the said deed when so executed, acknowledged
and recorded, shall vest in the person or persons to
whom the same shall be made, and to his, her or their
heirs and assigns, a good and indefeasable tide to so
much of the said public lot as shall be conveyed there-
by against all and every other person whatsoever.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to Incorporate Salisbury town, in Somerset
and Worcester counties.

Mar. 10, 1854.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the citizens of Salisbury town, in
Somerset and Worcester counties, shall be, and they
are hereby constituted and made a body corporate, by
the name of the commissioners of Salisbury town, with
all the privileges of a body corporate, and to have a
common seal and perpetual succession
