AN ACT to abolish the Office of Inspector of Plaster
of Paris.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the act of eighteen hundred
and thirty-two, chapter two hundred and eighty-two
creating the office of inspector of Plaster of Paris, and
the supplement thereto of December session eighteen
hundred and thirty-three, chapter two hundred and
seventy-five, defining the duties of the said inspector,
be, and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
of the State's Chemist, or his assistant, whenever an ap-
plication is or may be made to him by any person
desiring to purchase or sell any plaster of paris offered
for sale within the limits of this State, upon the presen-
tation of a sample to analyze the same and return a cer-
tificate to the applicant of the properties of said sample,
and shall receive therefor a fee of fifty cents per sample.
