CHAPTER 225.
|

AN ACT regulating the Magistrates of Baltimore city,
in locating their business and fixing their compensa-
tion.
|
|
|
Place of busi-
ness.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That every justice of the peace of the
city of Baltimore, shall keep his place for the transac-
tion of business, within the ward in which he may
have been elected.
|
|
|
Fees.
|
SBC. 2. And be it enacted, That each justice of
the peace shall be entitled as a compensation for his
services to the fees now allowed by law, in the same
manner as he was entitled to the said fees prior to the
passage of the act of eighteen hundred and forty-seven,
chapter seventy seven.
|
|
|
Repealed.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, inconsistent with the
provisions of this act, be, and the same are hereby re-
pealed.
|
|
|
In force.
|
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall go
into operation from the date of its passage.
