person or persona through whose land the said bridge
or way may be made to pass, for said land right of way
and any and all materials necessary for the construction
and use of said bridge or way.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
act contained shall be construed to authorise said com-
pany to issue any note, token, scrip or device to be
used as a currency, and the legislature reserves to itself
the right to alter, amend and repeal this charter at plea-
sure.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
act shall be construed to authorise the use of said bridge
for any rail road track or tracks, unless by the special
permission of the General Assembly of Maryland here-
after to be obtained.

AN ACT for the relief of John Bartholow, collector of
the direct tax in Frederick county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury,
be, and he is hereby authorised to settle with John
Bartholow, collector of the direct tax in Frederick
county, for eighteen hundred and fifty-two and eigh-
teen hundred and fifty-three, in the manner in which
the Comptroller was authorised to settle with John W.
Geyer, collector, by the act passed on the twenty-fourth
of April eighteen hundred and fifty-two, being chapter
eighty-seven.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.
