and in such manner as in their judgment will securer
the highest price for the same, and they are hereby au-
thorised, directed and empowered to appropriate the
proceeds of said sale to the purchase of a lot of land,
and the erection thereon of a house of worship, for the
use of the members of the Methodist Episcopal church,
now worshiping at said Ebenezer meeting house, and
to cause the same to be conveyed as hereinafter pro-
vided.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That Reuben Conoway,
Samuel Evans, Rezin T. Jenkins, Levi Z. Condon,
and as many more as are necessary to complete the
board of Trustees, as required by the discipline of the
Methodist Episcopal church, the remaining number
necessary to be appointed in conformity with the disci-
pline of said church, are hereby authorised to hold the
property directed to be purchased by the second section
of this act, by deed, for the use of the members of the
Methodist Episcopal church at said place, in the same
manner, and subject to all the rights and conditions
that are provided in the book of discipline of the Me-
thodist Episcopal church.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.

bined Steam Company.

Incorporated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Charles E. Wethered, E. K.
Collins, John Wethered, Abraham Bell, Samuel We-
thered, James C. Bell, and William G. Thomas, their
associates, successors and assigns, be and they are here-
by created a corporation and body politic, by the name
and style of Wethered's Patent Combined Steam Com-
pany, and by that name may have perpetual succes-
sion, and shall be able and capable in law to sue and
be sued, plead and be impleaded, answer and be ans-
wered in any court of law or equity, and to make and
use a common seal, and to alter the same at pleasure,
