county, be, and he is hereby authorised and empower-
ed, if in the opinion of the Orphans court of said coun-
ty, it is necessary for the preservation of the records of
said court, to obtain a suitable record book, and to copy
and transcribe therein the contents of Liber 2, one of
the records in the office of said register of wills, and in-
dex the same in the usual manner of arranging records
in said office.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That upon the comple-
tion of the record book as hereinbefore provided, and
the approval and acceptance of the same by the
Orphans court of Montgomery county, the county com-
missioners of said, county may on the presentation to
them of such evidence as they may deem sufficient of
the approval and acceptance of said record book by the
Orphans court as aforesaid, and the entire completion
of the same, levy such an amount of money for the use
of said register as they may deem sufficient to compen-
sate him for transcribing or copying said record and

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall go
into operation on the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 127.

In force.

AN ACT amendatory to a supplement to an act en-
titled an act for the relief of the poor of Kent county,
passed December session, eighteen hundred and
thirty, chapter one hundred and fifty-one.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the commissioners of Kent county
be, and they are hereby authorised and required, at
their meeting on the second Monday of April next,
and in each succeeding year thereafter, to appoint three
discreet and proper persons, qualified agreeably to the
provisions of the original act, one of whom shall be
taken from the first election district, one from the
second election district, and one from the third election
district, to be trustees of the poor of said county.
