charged shall demand a jury trial, the said justice or
said court shall certify said case to the criminal court
of Baltimore, to be proceeded with and tried by said
court, in the same manner as if the case had been origi-
nally brought before said court.

Fees.

SEC. 15. And be it enacted. That the justice of the
peace, and the clerk of the criminal court, and register
of wills of the orphans court aforesaid, respectively,
shall receive the sum of twenty-five cents for issuing
every warrant, and fifty cents for making out every
commitment or indenture of apprenticeship under this
act, and the constable, sheriff or police officer for serv-
ing said warrant, and bringing the person charged be-
fore either of said courts, or before said justice, shall
receive the sum of fifty cents, and for carrying any per-
son committed under this act to the place of commit-
ment, the sum of fifty cents, which several sums shall
be paid as other costs in criminal cases are now paid,
but either of said courts, or said justice may at discre-
tion adjudge that the said costs shall be paid by the in-
former, in cases where the person charged is acquitted.

Repealed.

SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That the act passed at
December session, in the year eighteen hundred and
four, chapter ninety-six, entitled, an act relating to va-
grants in the city of Baltimore, by which certain penal-
ties were inflicted in ouch cases, and which are more
particularly and amply provided in the foregoing act, be
and the same are hereby repealed.

AN ACT, to authorise the commissioners appointed
by the act of eighteen hundred and fifty-two, chapter
three hundred and twenty-four, to build a new court
house in Dorchester county, to borrow a sum of mo-
ney to furnish said house and enclose the ground.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the commissioners appointed by
the act of eighteen hundred and fifty-two, chapter
three hundred and twenty four, to build a new court
