CHAPTER 106.

Mar. 8, 1854.

AN ACT amendatory of an act passed December
session, eighteen hundred and forty-nine, chapter
three hundred and eighty-eight, entitled, an act ap-
pointing Commissioners to create an additional Free
School in election district number three, in Prince
George's county, and an act passed January session,
eighteen hundred and fifty-two, chapter two hundred
and eighty-one, entitled, an act to extend the powers
of certain Commissioners appointed by said original
act.

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That so much of the second section of
an act passed December session, eighteen hundred and
forty-nine, chapter three hundred and eighty-eight, en-
titled, an act appointing commissioners to create an ad-
ditional Free School in election district number three,
in Prince George's county, as required said commis-
sioners to lay out said school district, and make their
report to the levy court of said county, within sixty
days from and after the passage of said act, and also the
second section of an act passed January session, eighteen
hundred and fifty-two, chapter two hundred and eighty-
one, entitled, an act to extend the powers of said com-
missioners, be, and the same arc hereby repealed.

Condemnation
of land.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said commission-
ers, or any two of them, be, and they are hereby autho-
rised and empowered, to condemn and lay out a lot of
land, not exceeding one acre, owned by a certain
Eleanor Clarke, in said district, and the house thereon
erected, which is at this time, by the consent of said
owner, used as a free school; and the said commis-
sioners shall value said house and lot, and return said
valuation, together with a report of the rest of their pro-
ceedings, to the county commissioners of said county,
within a reasonable time after they shall have laid out
the same, to be paid for as provided by said original
act.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.
