the blacksmith shop of John Slack, on the Franklin Turnpike
Road, in Baltimore county, to intersect the Windsor Mill Road,
at a point at or near the city line, and tunning thence on the bed

of the Windsor Mill Road to a point known as Wells' Corner.

238. An act to alter and change the name of William Henry
Shipley, of Carroll county, to William Henry Gorsuch.

239. An act to extend the civil jurisdiction of Justices of the
Peace, and to preset the their powers and duties.

240. An act to amend an act entitled, an act for the preserva-
tion of fish in the waters of Talbot, Dorchester and Caroline
counties, passed December session, 1843, chapter 142.

241. An act to alter and amend an act incorporating the Mary-
land Institute for the Promotion of the Mechanic Arts, passed De-

in Carroll county.

249. An act to make valid a certain deed of conveyance from
Elijah Reynolds, Edward T. Tarring, Alexander Brown, Joseph
W. Abrahams, and Edwin Wilmer, trustees of the Methodist
Episcopal Church, in the village of Port Deposit, to Rebecca
Cresswell.

250. An act to exempt the members of the city council of Bal-
timore from the performance of militia and jury duty during their
