the work, and for the insurance of the bridge for ten
years, from the day of its completion.

CHAP. 362.
|
|
|
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the commis-
sioners aforesaid, or a majority of them, shall ren-
der to the county commissioners of their respective,
counties, at their meeting next after the expenditure
of said money, a true, full and fair account of all
money by them laid out and expended, by virtue of
this act, in repairing or rebuilding said bridge, and that
the said county commissioners, in their respective coun-
ties, shall make such compensation to said commis-
sioners, as they in their judgment may think proper.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That it shall be the
duty of the commissioners to cause, so much of the
timber of the present bridge, as may be found suitable
for the purpose, to be used in repairing the same or
building of the new; and all such timber of the pre-
sent bridge, that may be found unsuitable, shall be ex-
posed to sale, at ten days notice for cash, and the pro-
ceeds thereof applied to building or repairing, as the
case may be.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That if after repairing
or rebuilding of said bridge, as aforesaid, there shall be
ant surplus of the sums to be levied on the respective
counties, as aforesaid, in the hands of the commission-
ers, appointed by virtue of this act, it shall be the duty
of the said commissioners, or a majority of them, to
account for and pay over said surplus rateably and
equally to the county commissioners of the respective
counties, as aforesaid.
