SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall not
extend to any attachment that shall be issued to enforce
payment of any debt due or to become due, or perform-
ance of any contract made or to be made, before the
said first day of July next.

AN ACT regulating the per diem and mileage of
Judges of the Orphans' Court for Carroll County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That each of the judges of the Orphans'
court for Carroll county, shall receive an allowance of
two dollars per diem, for each and every day he shall
be present during the sessions of said court, and in addi-
tion thereto, shall be entitled to receive at the rate of
six cents per mile, as often us each of them shall attend
the court, as itinerant compensation for every mile each
of them may travel, coming from his place of residence
in the county to the town of Westminster, to attend the
business of said court.

AN ACT to authorise the collection of a Tax in
each Primary School District in Queen Anne's
County, for the payment of Teachers.

WHEREAS, in consequence of the increased number
of primary school districts in Queen Anne's county, the
sum annually received by each from the school fund,
and from the tax levied for that purpose, is considered
insufficient for the employment of competent teachers;
Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a majority of the taxable inhabi-
tants residing in each of said primary school districts,
|
