AN ACT to define the Jurisdiction of the Orphan's
Court for Baltimore City and the Orphan's Court
for Baltimore County.

Jurisdiction
defined.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the Orphan's Court for Baltimore
city, shall have and exercise within the limits of the
City of Baltimore, the same jurisdiction now had and
exercised by the several Orphan's Courts of the State,
for their respective counties, and the Orphan's Courts
for Baltimore county shall have and exercise as ex-
clusive jurisdiction for all that part of Baltimore county
not included within the limits of the City of Baltimore,
as the several Orphan's Courts of the State, now have
and exercise for their respective counties.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after its passage.

AN ACT to repeal an act passed at December Ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and forty-nine, chapter five.
hundred and forty, entitled, an act to provide for
taking the sense of the people of Baltimore
County, on the propriety of separating said County,
from the City of Baltimore.

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the act passed at December ses-
sion eighteen hundred and forty-nine, chapter five
hundred and forty, entitled, an act to provide for taking
the sense of the people of Baltimore county on the
propriety of separating said county from the City of
Baltimore, which act provided for the election of cer-
tain commissioners by the qualified voters of the sever-
al election districts of said county, and prescribing
their powers and duties, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the day of its passage.
