CHAPTER 265.

AN ACT for the benefit of the metiers of the Steam
boat Osiris.

Authority to
pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer, be, and he is
hereby authorised and directed to pay, upon the war-
rant of the Comptroller, to the owners of the steam-
boat Osiris, the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars,
as compensation in full for services rendered by said
steamboat and crew in capturing certain oystermen and
their boats, on or about the twenty-sixth day of Februa-
ry, eighteen hundred and fifty, who were violating the
provisions of the act to prevent the destruction of oys-
ters in the waters of this State, passed at December
session, eighteen hundred and thirty-three, and its sup-
plements.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 266.

25, 1852.

AN ACT to authorise and empower the President,
Managers and Company, of the Boonsborough
Turnpike Road Company, to grade, occupy, and
change, if necessary, the Public Road leading from
Sharpsburg to the Potomac River, and to charge
Toll thereon.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the president, managers and company

of the Boonsborough Turnpike Road company, be,
and they are hereby authorised and empowered to
occupy, grade, and if necessary, change the public
road leading from Sharpsburg to the Potomac river, and
to exercise over said road all the rights and powers con-
ferred on said corporation by the act of eighteen hun-
dred and fourteen, chapter seventy-one, and after the
grading of the same shall have been completed, to
charge lolls on the same, according to the distance
thereof, at the same proportional rales as are prescribed
in the said act of eighteen hundred and fourteen.
