CHAPTER 262.
AN ACT entitled, an Act to provide for the payment
to Samuel F. Stonestreet, late Cleric of Montgo-
mery County Court for fees due him from the
State.

Authority to
pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the warrant
of the Comptroller, be, and he is hereby authorised to
pay Samuel T. Stonestreet, late clerk of Montgomery
county court, the sum of one hundred and sixty-three
dollars and seventy-two cents, for services rendered the
State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of the passage thereof.

AN ACT to provide for carrying into effect the fifth
section of the fourth article of the Constitution.
|

|

lified by rea-
son of affinity.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That any judge of the Court of
Appeals of this State, who shall be connected with any
party to a cause by consanguinity, within the fourth
degree, counting down from the common ancestor to
the more remote, or by affinity within the like degree,
shall be disqualified from sitting in such cause.
