1862.

year eighteen hundred and forty-seven, in so far as the
same is invalid for want of the proper certificate of
identification of the grantor, in the acknowledgment

of the same, required by the laws of this Slate, be, and
the same is hereby made valid, notwithstanding the in-
formality of said certificate.

CHAP. 247.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 247.

In force.

AN ACT entitled, an Act to Regulate the Sessions

of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore county, and
the Compensation of its Bailiff.

Passed May
24, 1852.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the sessions of the Orphans'
Court of Baltimore county, shall he held on the first
Tuesday in each and every week, from Eleven o'clock,
A. M., till three o'clock, P. M., and may continue in
session each Wednesday, immediately succeeding the
first Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each week, if in the
judgment of said court, the public business and conve-
nience require it to do so.

gulated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Judges of the
Orphans' Court of Baltimore county, are hereby au-
thorized to appoint a bailiff, who shall attend each sit-
ting of the court, and perform such duties as the court
and Register of Wills of said county may direct, and
shall be paid quarterly, upon the certificate of the Re-
gister of Wills, by the commissioners of Baltimore
county, two dollars per diem for each day he may have
been or shall be in attendance on said court, and no
mileage shall be allowed said bailiff.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
