1852.

CHAPTER 233.

AN ACT to authorise the County Commissioners of
Talbot, Queen Anne's and Caroline counties, to
levy a sum for paying the Criers of the Circuit
Court in said counties.

CHAP. 234.

15, 1852.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the county commissioners of Tal-

bot, Queen Anne's and Caroline counties, are hereby
directed to levy on the assessable property of said coun-
ties respectively, a sufficient sum to pay to the crier of
the Circuit court in each of said counties, two dollars
for every day the said crier shall actually attend the sit-
tings of said court, which per diem shall be in lieu of
all fees now allowed, and in full compensation for the
attendance and services of said criers.

SEC . 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall have
effect from the dale of its passage.

CHAPTER 234.

In force.

AN ACT making valid certain proceedings of Absa-
lom W. Sparks, late a constable of Kent county,
and authorising a Deed of certain Lands therein
mentioned, to be made to William Lamb.

8, 1852.

WHEREAS, It is represented to this General Assem-
bly, that William Lamb, of Kent county, on the twen-
ty-fourth day of June, in the year eighteen hundred
and forty-four, purchased a small farm in Worton in
Kent county, containing thirty-six acres, three roods
and thirty-five perches, more or less, for the sum of four
hundred and forty-two dollars and fifty cents, at a pub-
lic sale made by Absalom W. Sparks, of said county,
then a constable, on six writs of venditioni exponas,
against a certain Eli Plummer; And whereas, the said
constable failed to return said writs, and make a report

of his proceedings to Kent county court, and the said
Absalom W. Sparks, has, for several years past, ceased
to be a constable; Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That Absalom W. Sparks, late consta-
ble of Kent county, be, and he is hereby authorised to
