CHAP. 209.

that all laws relating to primary schools in Kent county,
shall be applicable to said school.

Authority to
levy for bene-
fit of school.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
of Kent county, be empowered and required to levy
upon the assessable property of the county, one hun-
dred and fifty dollars, annually, for the benefit of said
school.

CHAPTER 209.

4, 1852.

AN ACT authorising the Trustees of the Poor for
Frederick county, to sell and convey certain real
Estate in said county, of which, Daniel Runkles,
an Idiot, died seized.

Authority to
sell land, &c.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the trustees of the poor, in and for
Frederick county, be, and they are hereby authorised
and empowered, after giving at least three weeks pre-
vious notice in some newspaper printed in said county,
to sell , either at public or private sale, and on such terms
as they may deem best, all the right, title and interest
that a certain Daniel Runkles, an idiot, late of said
county, deceased, had, of, in, and to a piece and parcel

of land, lying, and being in Frederick county afore-
said, and known as parts of two tracts of land called
Hammond's Contrivance, and the Resurvey, or Long
Trusted; and after deducting such expenses as they
may deem reasonable in effecting said sale, to apply
the balance of the proceeds, or so much as may be ne-
cessary to the payment of the claim due said county,
for boarding, and taking care of said deceased idiot,
and the surplus, if any, to pay over to any party or par-
ties by law entitled thereto.

Power to con-
vey by good
and sufficient
deed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said trustees,
be, and they are hereby authorised and empowered , on
the payment of the whole purchase money for said in-
terest, and not before, to convey, by good and sufficient
deed, to the purchaser thereof, all the right, title and
interest of the said Daniel Runkles, of, in, and to said
real estate.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, Thai this act shall take
effect from the day of its passage.
