CHAPTER 208.

A FURTHER Addition to an Act entitled, an Act
to provide for the Instruction of Youth in Primary
Schools, so far as the same relates to Kent county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That an additional school district
called number eight, in the third election district of
Kent county, be, and the same is hereby established
and that it be so formed and laid out as to include and
be composed of the territory comprised within the fol-
lowing lines and boundaries, namely: beginning at a

stone, standing on the main road leading from Chester-
ville to Georgetown cross roads, it being a stone standing
at the west end of the division line between the lands of

the late William Miller and Richard Peacock, and run-

ning an east course until it readies the little forrest;
then in a south-east direction to the main road leading
from Georgetown cross reads to Millington, until it reach-

es the south line of the land formerly belonging to the
late William Spearman, where it crosses the said road;

then a west course, so as to include the lands of James
H. Smyth's heirs, and the land of the late Lancelot

Moffit; then with said land, and a lane dividing said
land from the land of Franklin Newnan and others,
until it intersects the land of Col. Groome; then a

north course, until it intersects the land of J. Wilson;

then an east course, until it reaches the place of begin-
ning.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the taxable inhabi-
tants, within the limits of said district, shall meet, as

soon as practicable after the passage of this act, in some
convenient place in said district, of which meeting pro-
per notice shall be given, and elect five trustees to man-
age the concerns of said school district, and who shall
have all the powers and privileges, and perform all the
duties now required of trustees of similar schools; and
