CHAP. 205.

Right of State

of Maryland
relinquished.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the United States of America
shall be considered the lawful owners of the said
land, contained within ten metes and bounds above
recited, from the dale of the deed above recited,
and of all the rights and privileges by said deed con-
veyed, or intended to be conveyed, and the right of
jurisdiction of the State of Maryland in and over the
land aforesaid, shall be, and the same is hereby relin-
quished and made over to the United States of Ame-

rica, for the purpose above recited; Provided, that
concurrent jurisdiction with the United States shall be
retained by this State, in and over said lot of land, so
far, that all civil and criminal processes issued under
the authority of this State, or any officer thereof, may
be executed on any part of said land, or in any build-
ing; that may be erected thereon, in the same way and
manner as if jurisdiction had not been granted as afore-
said.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 205.

20, 1852.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money therein
named, to pay Augustus R. Sollers, former Clerk

of Calvert County Court, for Fees in certain State
Cases.

Authority to
pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the warrant

of the Comptroller, is authorised and directed to pay
to Augustus R. Sollers, former clerk of Calvert county
court, the sum of sixty-three dollars and forty-seven
cents, being the amount of his account for fees which
accrued in certain State cases.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
