sons may be employed in selling as aforesaid, to be ap-
plied to the use of the State, and to be paid into the
Treasury thereof by said clerk, who shall be entitled to
receive for such services the same fees he receives for
similar services under existing laws.

CHAP. 139.
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the provisions of
this act shall extend and apply only to such person or
persons as shall bring goods, wares or merchandize, in-
to said county, to sell at auction, within the limits afore-
mentioned, and to such person or persons as shall sell
at auction, goods, wares or merchandize, sent into said
county, and within the limits aforementioned, for the
express purpose of being sold upon commission.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That any person or per-
sons who shall sell as aforesaid, within the limits afore-
said, without having previously paid the license herein
directed, shall be liable to a penalty of one hundred
dollars, to be recovered by the State, for each and every
such violation of the provisions of this act, in the
same manner as debts of the same amount me recov-
ered by law.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after the first day of July next.

AN ACT to fix the per diem of the Judges of the
Orphans' Court of Baltimore city, and of the
Judges of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore coun-
ty, pursuant to the seventeenth section of the fourth
article of the Constitution.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That each of the judges of the Orphans'
court of Baltimore city, which court has been recent-
ly established by the constitution, shall be paid a per
diem rate, for the time they are in session, of three dol-
lars.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That each of the judges
of the Orphans' court of Baltimore county, which
court has been recently established by the constitution,
shall be paid a per diem rate, for the time they are in
session, of two dollars, and each judge shall be paid
five cents per mile mileage, for going to, and returning
