CHAP. 135.

county, out of the limits of the city of Baltimore, dur-
ing the publication of a paper in said county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect thirty days after its passage.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money to pay
for repairs made in, and materials furnished for,
the Senate Chamber.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, in pursuance of an order of the Senate,
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and forty-
nine, certain repairs in the Senate chamber have been
made, and goods and materials furnished for the use of
the State, for the payment for which appropriation
should be made, Therefore,

Sum appro-
priated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the sum of fourteen hundred
and fifty dollars and seventy-two cents, be, and the same
is hereby appropriated for the payment of the charges
aforesaid, to be paid out of any unappropriated money
in the treasury.

To whom to
be paid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That of the sum so ap-
propriated, the Treasurer, on the warrant of the Comp-
troller, shall pay to McDowell and Gable, seven hun-
dred and fourteen dollars and seventy-two cents; to
James T. Van Rossum, two hundred and thirty-six dol-
lars and forty-seven cents; to Richard R. Conner, two
hundred and one dollars and seventy cents; to Cortlan
& Co., twenty-seven dollars and sixty-three cents; to
Iglehart & Caldwell, thirty-five dollars and six cents;
to P. C. Clayton, one hundred and sixteen dollars and
fifty cents, and to J. Iglehart & Co., one hundred and
eighteen dollars and sixty-four cents.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.
