the place for holding the elections therein shall be at
Mount Savage.

CHAP. 122.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said commis-
sioners shall divide that portion of district number six,
which may not be included in the bounds of district
number twelve as created by authority of this act, into
two election districts, as nearly equal in population as
may be, and in such manner as to throw a portion of
the voters of the town of Cumberland, into each of the
said districts, and that the said districts shall be known
as Cumberland district number six, and Cumberland
district number thirteen, and the place for holding the
elections in both of said districts shall be in the town of
Cumberland.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That in case of the
death, resignation, removal from the county, or refusal
to act of any of the commissioners named in this act,
the Board of County Commissioners shall fill such
vacancy.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the said commis-
sioners shall make a return of all their proceedings to
the clerk of the Circuit Court for Allegany county, to
be recorded in the said clerk's office, at the expense of
said county, and paid as county charges and levies are
paid.

AN ACT to fix the Salaries of the. Commissioners

of Public Works.

Passed April
9, 1852.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Commissioners of Public
Works now elected, or hereafter to be elected or ap-
pointed, shall each during his term of service receive
a salary at the rate of two hundred dollars per annum,
to commence from the time he qualifies or has quali-
fied by taking the oath prescribed by the fourth section

of the first article of the constitution.

Salary $200
per annum.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.
