CHAP. 121.

bly of this State, passed at December session eighteen
hundred and thirty-seven, chapter ninety-seven, enti-
tled, an act to authorise the appointment of commis-
sioners to take the acknowledgment of deeds and in-
struments of writing miller seal, out of the State of
Maryland, was duly qualified to act as such commis-
sioner at and after the date of the Secretary's certificate
aforesaid, by having previously filed in the executive

office of this State, an oath taken and subscribed pur-
suant to the third section of said act of Assembly;.
and whereas, it appears that the voucher so filed by
the. said Rogers, showing his compliance with said act

of Assembly has been mislaid, and cannot now be
found in the executive office; Therefore,

Acts declared
valid.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That all official acts heretofore per-
formed by the said A. Roberston Rogers since the third
day of April, in the year eighteen hundred and forty,
or hereafter to be performed by him, as commissioner as
aforesaid, shall have the same validity and effect to all
intents and purposes as if the voucher referred to in
the preamble to this act had not been lost or mislaid.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 121.

Passed April
2, 1852.

AN ACT to establish two additional Election Dis-
tricts in Allegany County.

Two districts
created.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That for the greater convenience of
voting in Allegany county, two new election districts
be created by the alteration and division of election dis-
tricts numbers five and six in said county.

Commission-
ers appointed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That John M. Bu-
chanan, Thomas F. White and Thomas McCormick, of
Allegany county, or a majority of them, be and they
are hereby appointed commissioners, and authorised to
review election districts number five and number six,
in said county, and in their discretion make such al-
teration and division, and create an additional election
district, so as to better subserve the convenience of the
voters of said districts, and that the said new election
district shall be know as district number twelve, and
