CHAPTER 1.

An Act to settle and ascertain the Salary of
the Members of the Council for the ensuing
year.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That each member of the Council, shall be
entitled to receive, for the ensuing year, the sum of two
hundred pounds current money, for his salary.

A Supplement to an Act passed at November ses-
sion eighteen hundred and nine entitled, "An
act concerning crimes and punishments"
|

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the application to be made by all male
criminals who before the commencement of the act to
which this is a supplement shall have been condemned
to serve and labor on the public roads, or in making,
repairing and cleansing the streets or basin of Balti-
more town, and whose time of service and labor is
unexpired, may be made at the first adjourned court
of oyer and terminer and jail delivery of Baltimore
county, which may be in session next after the issuing
the proclamation referred to in the act to which this is
asupplement ; whereupon the same proceedings
shall take place, as are directed to take place by the
fiftieth section of the act to which this is a supplement
