ven; and that the treasurer of the Western Shore,
upon the payment of the caution money, receipt for
the same in full upon the said certificate; and that pa-
tent may issue thereupon — the other rules and regula-
tions of the land-office, in such cases, being fully com-
plied with.

No. 8.
Resolved, That Samuel Thomas, late sheriff of Tal-
bot county, be, and he is hereby allowed a stay of
twelvemonths on the judgments obtained against him
and his securities at May term one thousand eight
hundred and eleven, for one thousand and ninety two
dollars and twenty five cents; and he shall be releas-
ed from the payment of the nine per cent, additional
interest imposed on him, and arising on the aforesaid
judgment, on his paying the principal with six per cent,
interest thereon; and is hereby discharged from the
nine per cent, interest upon two other judgments which
he has paid to the state, late a debt due from him as
former sheriff of the county aforesaid; Provided, that
the judgment aforesaid shall continue and be in force
notwithstanding the suspension directed by this reso-
lution.

No. 9.
Resolved, That the Treasurer of the Western Shore
be, and he is hereby directed and required to pay to
Henry Reading, late a soldier in the revolutionary
war, belonging to the Maryland line, or to his order,
in quarterly pay ments, a sum of money equal to the half
pay of a private, as a provision to him in his indigent
situation and advanced life; and as a further remuner-
ation to him for those services by which his country
has been so essentially benefited.

be, and he is hereby authorised and directed to pay
to Thomas Gadd, or his order, late a private soldier in
the revolutionary war, a sum of money in quarter-
ly payments, equal to the half-pay of a private.

William Sewell, of the city of Annapolis (late a sol-
dier in the revolutionary war) or to his order, during
life, in quarterly payments, a som of money equal to
the half-pay of a private.
