Maryland,, That in a certain case now pending in the
Chancery court between Peter Abrams, Harman
Kerr and wife, Joseph Harland and wife, Nathan
Blake and wife, and Thomas Protsman and wife, com-
plainants; and Samuel Jones and wife, David, Willi-
am, Rebecca and Rachel Alexander, James Alexan-
der and wife, Joseph Reynolds and wife, Edward
Alexander, Jacob Benfitt and wife, and James Dono-
hoe and wife, defendants, the chancellor be, and he is
hereby authorised and empowered, upon the hearing of
the said case, and the bill now tiled, and other pro-
ceedings therein had, and any future depositions
which may be properly, legally and duly taken and
made a part of the said case, to decree a sale of the
land mentioned in the bill, and to divide the proceeds
of such sale among the parties entitled to receive it, in
their just proportions, according to the practice and

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the justices of the levy court of Cal-
vert county, shall, and they are empowered at their
levy court annually, so long as they shall see cause,
to assess and levy on the assessable property of said
county, a sum of money not less than twenty five dol-
lars, for the support and maintenance of the said Up-
ton Ross; and that the same be collected annually by
the collector of Calvert county, and by him paid to
the said Upton Ross or his order,
