for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of
this act, or of the original act, or of the supplements
thereto, shall be held at the alms-house in the said
county, except such meetings as may be necessary
for the settlement and passing their accounts with
the levy court.
AND BE IT ENACTED, That the clerk of said
court shall be allowed twenty-five cents for each certi-
cate of appointment which he shall make out and de-
liver to the sheriff; and the sheriff shall be allowed
fifty cents for the delivery of each of the said certifi-
cates to the persons appointed; all of which charges
and allowances are to be levied, collected and paid
over, as other county charges are.

AND BE IT ENACTED, That any thing in the
said original act or the supplements thereto, which is
repugnant to, or inconsistent with the provisions of
this act, shall be, and the same is hereby repealed.

A supplement to an act entitled, An act to estab-
lish, a Bank, and incorporate a company under
the name of the Elkton Bank of Maryland.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That so much of the act to which this is a
supplement as prevents the president and directors of
the Elkton Bank of Maryland from issuing notes or
bills obligatory for a less sum than five dollars, be,
and the same is hereby repealed; any thing in the
said act to the contrary notwithstanding; Provided
always, That nothing in this act contained shall au-
thorise the issuing of any note for a less sum than
three dollars.

city of Baltimore, have represented to this General
Assembly, that the health and convenience of the said
city would be greatly promoted by the opening and
extending the said street, which is at present inter-
sected by several docks, and obstructed by other im-
